Maaf ini singkat "Sorry this is short"

I'm sorry I spend all my email time writing people back! I will write a long email next week :). I still love my mission, everyday! I love the people, I love Indonesia, and I love this work! Wouldn't want to be anywhere else doing anything else! Love you alllll!

It's crazy how many mosque's there are here and how nice they are...it's like every km there's one and then right next to them are these broken down tiny houses...it's sad!

One of our fav investigators Heru! Me selling bakso for him! :)

This is one of my all time fav mission quotes...
"You only get one chance to serve a mission; it is your responsibility, your duty, to use it to the fullest; to give every last ounce of energy until you collapse in exhaustion at the end of it. All the hardships, all the tears, all the hard work will be looked back upon as the best thing you've ever done, not because you enjoyed it, not because you baptized everyone, but because you gave everything you had, even when you didn't think you could, and especially when you didn't want to. Live your mission to your fullest, work harder than you've ever worked before. Let people know that this is the most important thing in the world to you... If you do not run until you have nothing left to give, and then keep going anyway; cry and pray and work and sweat and plead until you are so drained that all you can do is turn to the Lord; if you don't do this, then these people will not come to this joy because of you - their failure to come to Christ will be partially upon your head. Come out of your mission proud of what you've done, and this experience will bless the rest of your life."

Best week!

Ahh best week!! I wish all of you could have been at Pak Yakub's baptism, it was the best day of my mission so far...he is so awesome! After the service was over he came over to Sister Jibson and I and started crying and said he knew that God had led us to him and he didn't know where he would be without this. Of course Sister Jibson and I started crying too! He told us after Elder Headrick said amen and he closed his eyes to go under the water all he could see was light. His son Bryan was sooo cute! As soon as Pak Yakub changed into all white to be baptized, Bryan got so excited and could not wait to see his dad get baptized! After the service Bryan asked us when he could get baptized! Were hoping that Pak Yakub can baptize him in 2 weeks! We also had some of our other investigators come to the baptism and they really felt the spirit. There is nothing greater than seeing someone be changed through the atonement of Jesus Christ. He is the reason and the only way. I love my Savior and am so greatful for His atonement in my life and that I have been called to help others apply it more fully in thiers! Ahhh I love my mission!! Couldn't be happier! I love you all!!

Konferensi Umum!

How awesome was conference?! I think I was more excited for conference than I was for Christmas :) Watching as a missionary was so amazing, I came in with questions of how I can be better in this work and what my companion and I needed to do to find more people who the Lord has repaired and all my questions were answered :). Pak Yakub came and he loved it! He's so excited to be baptized next week and his smoking addiction is completely over. He said it is amazing how he just doesn't even have the desire anymore, after the first few days of completely stopping he just felt so much better and just has this extra strength..so thank you for your prayers!! Ibu Diah also came and Sister Jibson and I just kept looking at each other and smiling after some of the things that were said during the talks because they were perfect for her! I loved Elder Scott's talk so much! It was so full of love and then connected that love with sharing the gospel. That is what it is all about! I loved E. Gary Stevens comparison with an Olympic athlete and how they train their entire lives for a 4 minute race and how this is like our race, our time to show what we have and later receive the metal! I love how he said we can always start NEW with the atonement of Jesus Christ. The atonement is the center of everything I am and do as a missionary. I am here to help others partake fully of the Savior's atonement. In doing that I am constantly using the atonement in my life, to become better as a missionary, to be a more effective instrument in the Lord's hands. We truly can become changed through the atonement of Jesus Christ, given strength beyond our own measure, given a bigger capacity to love, the desires of our hearts can be changed and we can become more like HIM. What an awesome blessing it is to be able to hear from a living prophet of God and His apostles! So sweet! One more thing for today's email...anyone who is reading this and has not yet had the chance to read The Book of Mormon...find one, and read one...they are free :) Your testimony of the Savior and His atonement will grow as you read that book, you will gain a greater understanding of who you are, why you are here, and what you have to do in this life to have true peace and happiness. I promise anyone who reads from The Book of Mormon will feel closer to God than they have before and will feel His influence more in your life. Read it and then email me and tell me how it is blessing your life :) I love you all and am so grateful for everyone's love and support! I love this work I love Indonesiaaaaa!
Today Sister Jibson and I are biking 25 miles to a members house haha! One of the Indonesian missionaries parents lives super far out and she told us that nobody could bike there because it's way too hard...so we're taking the challenge and doing it! haha :) 25 miles there and 25 miles back! Power companionship... ;)

Sister Jibson and Ibu Diah!

One of the MANY creepy texts that we get...haha

Sweepin the streets of Malang!

Sister Jibson and after our long day of being sick...we would be in appointments or riding our bikes and just have to run to the bathroom, like every 10 minutes....it was horrible! But all good now! :)

Never want to leave Malang!

Crazy and great week! Thank you for praying for Pak Yakub! We moved his baptism to the 20th of April because we are watching conference the coming Sunday at the church on Saturday and Sunday, so the ward thought it would be better if we moved it to the 20th. We told Pak Yakub that he had to stop smoking and drinking coffee completely by this last Sunday, and he did! He stopped on Friday and hasn't smoked or drank coffee since! He has so much faith and desire to be baptized. Bryan, his son has been reading from the "Book of Mormon stories" book everyday and he loved church...he is 10 and is super smart and the cutest thing ever! Sister Jibson and I love them so much! I don't know if you remember me talking about Mas Heru before, but he is one of our investigators and he is Muslim. We had just been teaching him in his Warung (little food place) because he said his wife was not ready yet, but last week we met his wife and she invited us to come and teach them at their house, so we've been teaching them there with their two little daughters and they are the cutest family ever! Yesterday, we took Lia (my investigator who was baptized last month) to fellowship with us. She used to be Muslim and is way smart...they started talking and she started quoting the Alquran and showing him how it actually talks about Jesus Christ. It was so legit! She is awesome and she really helped him understand. It's really funny when we teach him because he likes speaking Javanease and we can't speak it, so sometimes he will start mixing bahasa Java and bahasa Indonesia and we get so confused! So we've started bringing members that can speak Javanease to help with that. Mom, you asked if I've gotten sick lately, and yes I got sick last week and was throwing up pretty much everything I ate for 2 days haha but I'm good now :). Everything is great and I'm still loving everyday of my mission!

...my camera broke after this day because it was in my backpack and it was raining like crazy. I am going to try to go buy a new, cheap camera today.

My proselyting hat! I wear this when we do service and people love it. All the Indonesians wear these when there working.

 This week please pray for:
Pak Yakub
Bryan
Tasin
and Heru's family :)

Thank you!! I love youuuu
